About the Role

The Neighbourhood Ranger is a key member of the Environmental Services team, responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient service across the city. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a wide range of duties, including caretaking and cleaning services, grounds maintenance, property clearance, and securing empty homes.
  • Liaise with residents, neighbourhood housing staff, and other members of the organisation to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure that neighbourhoods are safe for customers and that the organisation complies with health and safety best practice and legislation.
  • Work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service, prioritising own workload to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Provide excellent customer care and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience of caretaking and/or cleaning duties and/or grounds maintenance services.
  • Experience of completing minor communal repairs involving basic carpentry, painting, and masonry skills.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety at Work.
  • Ability to work independently within a team and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritising own workload to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing great customer care.
