Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of technical projects within our Nuclear and Power business sector. Located in the North West, this role offers hybrid working arrangements (Cumbria, Warrington or Preston) with opportunities for professional growth and development.

The Job Description:

This position involves managing design through to implementation, ensuring quality, time, cost, and technical performance parameters are met. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with JV partners and deliver projects through Framework Agreements. Additionally, you will support the growth of our capabilities by building a reputation for excellence, mentoring others, and contributing to business development and bidding activities.

  1. Management of design through to implementation.
  2. Degree qualified in Project Management or a related engineering/science discipline, or hold a professional project/programme management qualification.
  3. Direct experience in taking full responsibility for project delivery, demonstrating accountability for quality, time, cost, and technical performance parameters agreed with clients.
  4. Leadership experience in directing local and geographically disparate teams and resources.
  5. Proven experience in applying project management principles and skills to deliver successful project outcomes on various decommissioning/engineering/technical projects.
  6. Nuclear or Energy sector experience including design, construction, and decommissioning, as well as supplier and contractor management.
  7. Experience working within the Nuclear industry.
  8. Delivery of complex technical projects and services.
