Tax Compliance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our team at AVASK ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS CONSULTANTS. As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team and providing high-level VAT advice to stakeholders across the business to mitigate any tax risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team and provide guidance on VAT compliance and risk management
- Provide high-level VAT advice to stakeholders to mitigate tax risks
- Assist clients with VAT audits and compliance checks
- Prepare and perform a first-level review of quarterly VAT tax returns and annual adjustments
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and partners across Europe
- Manage the preparation of indirect tax returns
- Work with the Accounts team to ensure a strong control environment persists
- Ensure VAT accounting arrangements are monitored and fit for purpose
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax policies, standards, and templates
Requirements:
- Experience working in VAT/Accountancy/Finance department
- Relevant and recognized ATT/CTA/Tax Law or Law Degree
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
