We operate a hybrid way of working

This means you'll split your time across client location, Faculty's Old Street office and working from home depending on the needs of the project. For this role, you can expect to be client-side for up to three days per week at times and working either from home or our Old Street office for the rest of your time.

About the Role

Situated within our Applied AI consultancy, which serves clients across UK Defence, Government, Life Sciences, Energy, Banking and Retail, this role is ideal for those looking to build robust, secure and scalable Cloud Infrastructure to support data and machine learning workflows.

You'll work as part of a cross-functional technical team to build solutions to some of the hardest problems in applied artificial intelligence. This includes collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to internal Cloud Engineering best practices, standards and code repositories, and enabling Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to take ownership of their cloud deployments.

  • You'll be involved with the project life cycle from idea generation to shipping.
  • You will have expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Containerisation and deployment with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Networking fundamentals, IP networking, TCP, HTTP.
  • Cloud security fundamentals: least privilege access, security groups, isolated networks.
  • Python, NodeJS or other scripting languages.
  • Leading teams of engineers to deliver high-quality work for our customers.

Requirements Gathering, Technical Planning and Scoping

Average salary £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Salary negotiable based on individual circumstances. Benefits include flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a dynamic and supportive work environment.
