Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plater Welder Fabricator to work with our engineering team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and MIG welding, specifically with materials ranging from 10mm to 50mm thickness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using MIG welding techniques.
  • Work with materials ranging from 10mm to 50mm in thickness, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
  • Prepare and cut materials to precise dimensions using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plater Welder Fabricator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with materials ranging from 10mm to 50mm.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and equipment.
