About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for leading the nursing care provision and providing quality care to patients on a shift-to-shift basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team and provide support to junior colleagues in problem-solving and patient care.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients and develop care plans reflecting their needs.
  • Support and develop the nursing team through appraisals, supervision, and training and development.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided and assist the Nursing and Quality Lead in implementing improvements.
  • Develop goals with patients and multidisciplinary team colleagues to progress patients towards discharge.
  • Perform clinical skills such as complex medication administration, intravenous medications, and fluid administration.
  • Develop new ways of working in the centre and establish strong links with other services and the wider community.
