Commis Chef Opportunity at RedCat Pubs

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at RedCat Pubs. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in assisting our experienced chefs in preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Prepare ingredients, vegetables, meats, and fish for service
  • Support other chefs in the kitchen, including plating and garnishing dishes
  • Help with deliveries, restocking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  • Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
Requirements:
  • Good work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Methodical and clean working style
  • Desirable skills: Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards, minimum 6 months relevant experience, awareness of manual handling techniques, and experience with kitchen equipment and dangerous equipment such as knives
