Job Summary

GFG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lifting Equipment Inspector to join our Engineering Services team. As a Lifting Equipment Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of lifting equipment across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, including chains, slings, shackles, manual and powered hoists, lifting beams, and runway beams.
  • Apply recognized safety practices and procedures to each task performed.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of lifting equipment inspection techniques and general engineering fundamentals.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Travel to various GFG sites as required.

Requirements

  • LEE Advanced programme Training Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in the lifting equipment inspection and repair industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of safe working procedures and inspection techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will work a standard Monday to Friday day shift with alternative week Saturday and Sunday days, with days off midweek. Occasional overtime may be required, for which a premium will be paid.
