Job Overview

Major Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our client's team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for providing network and security expertise to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, including experience with routing and switching protocols, WAN and LAN technologies, and network infrastructure maintenance.

We are looking for a professional with excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of network vendor CLI languages, and experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining routers and switches.

The successful candidate will also have experience with WAN circuits and solutions, including MPLS and VPNs, and a good understanding of TCP/IP, R&S, firewalls, and security issues.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Maintain and extend the network infrastructure
  • Provide network and security expertise to clients
  • Troubleshoot routing and switching protocols
  • Install, configure, and maintain routers and switches
  • Experience with WAN circuits and solutions

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000+, a company bonus scheme, private medical, 22 days plus 8 public holidays, and a progression route to technical lead.

**Requirements**

  • At least 5 years commercial experience in a similar networking environment
  • CCNA certification, preferred not essential
  • UK driving license is essential for this role
