Exciting Opportunity for a Sustainability and Health Manager

Edwards Vacuum, LLC, a world leader in developing and manufacturing abatement systems for the Semi-conductor industry, is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Health Manager to join their team in Clevedon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the site sustainability strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with global standards and organisational goals. They will also be responsible for managing the site sustainability program, regularly reporting on progress to stakeholders, and ensuring effective implementation of the Atlas Copco VT SHE Management System.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a site sustainability strategy and roadmap, aligned with global standards and organisational goals.
  • Manage the site sustainability program, ensuring effective implementation of the Atlas Copco VT SHE Management System.
  • Regularly report on progress against the site sustainability roadmap to stakeholders.
  • Define and implement a strategy to continually improve the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management System at the Clevedon site.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with SHE Management System procedures, international standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with and influence global Sustainability and Quality functions to deliver business improvements aligned with Product Company Clevedon requirements.
  • Oversee the project management of SHE business process improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Level 6 Diploma or degree level in Occupational Health and Safety or chartered membership of IOSH.
  • Experience of leading a programme of projects focused on carbon reduction, waste reduction, water usage, and biodiversity.
  • Able to motivate and influence those not under direct control to engage with and work towards site-wide sustainability and safety initiatives.
  • Experience of forming mutually beneficial partnerships with community organisations and environmental action groups.
  • 25 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).
