Aerodynamics Technician

We are seeking a skilled Wind Tunnel Technician to join our team at Aston Martin Formula One Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Wind Tunnel Operations group, working on a range of projects and activities to provide technical support to our brand-new, state-of-the-art wind tunnel.

• Assemble, install, help diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems within the Wind Tunnel, on the model and R&D test rigs.
• Record data and document experimental methods, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist with stock control and spares inventory record keeping.
• Wind Tunnel systems and aerodynamic testing.

• A strong background in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering.
• Excellent practical and technical skills, which can be applied to a range of equipment types, from heavy plant to sensitive instrumentation.
• Previous experience with wiring harnesses and electronic components, along with data acquisition software knowledge.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including shift work and occasional weekends.
