Job Summary:

The Advanced Steel Draughtsman role at Hays Careers involves working on steelwork projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing GA's & details for steelwork and metal work.

About the Job:

  • Develop GA's & details for steelwork and metal work from Architect/Engineers drawings and site measurements.
  • Lead design teams and allocate tasks effectively.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation before uploading to relevant project files.
  • Liaise with project engineers and architects to maintain collaboration and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients and project management teams.
  • Conduct site surveys to gather information.
  • Manage client platforms efficiently.
  • Oversee compliance with UK-CA ES BN 1090 and ISO 9001 standards within the drawing office.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an advanced steel draughtsman in the steel industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop GA's & details for steelwork and metal work.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
