Occupational Therapy Support Specialist

Job Details
This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, plus a suite of staff benefits including a pension scheme, comprehensive training, and access to wellness programs and career development opportunities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Providing occupational therapy support to children and young people aged 4-19 with complex autism, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
- Collaborating with a trans-disciplinary team to ensure each pupil's needs are understood, effectively planned for, and closely monitored.
- Advising the teaching team on pupil development to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Delivering direct and indirect therapy to individuals and groups of pupils.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised Occupational Therapy degree/qualification.
- Licensure from the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (ROCT).
- Postgraduate training in Sensory Integration.
- Demonstrable experience of understanding and a personal commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
