Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Support Specialist to join our team at a Special Needs High School for Complex Needs in Leicestershire.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with the potential for a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive daily rate of up to £95 (dependent on experience).

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will support secondary-aged pupils with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and social-emotional difficulties, in small groups or one-to-one settings.

You will work collaboratively with the SEN team, senior leaders, heads of departments, parents, carers, social workers, and other professionals involved in the child's multidisciplinary team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with special educational needs in a school setting.
  • Collaborating with the education and healthcare teams to develop effective support strategies.
  • Providing ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain a new one).
  • Previous school-based experience is essential.
