We are seeking a highly skilled management accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a large business and a strong background in financial accounting. Legal sector experience is desirable but not essential. We offer comprehensive training and development opportunities to support your career growth.

The successful candidate will assist the senior management accountant and the financial controller in preparing financial reports and providing support to the wider business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of general ledger journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Tracking and reviewing financial information against budgets, providing clear commentary on variances.
  • Presenting financial information to directors and managers to inform business decision-making.
  • Communicating with other teams, including accounts payable, cashiers, and billing, to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Working closely with department heads to finalize forecasting and budgeting for the next financial year.
  • Providing ad-hoc data analysis and responding to information requests.
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing changes to enhance financial efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a strong financial accounting background.
  • Experience in a high-performing team with a willingness to help and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and a professional approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office.

Pay: £42,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
