Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping children reach their full potential and a proactive approach to supporting their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and other areas of the school.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as providing one-to-one support to students as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN, including behavior management and communication techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support plans for students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, as well as experience with behavior management and communication techniques.
