**Job Title:** Lead Social Worker - Surrey MASH

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is looking for a skilled Lead Social Worker - Surrey MASH to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of social workers and practitioners, providing expert guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery in safeguarding children and families.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a recognized social work qualification and registration with a relevant professional body. They will bring extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection, as well as sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social workers and practitioners, providing expert guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery in safeguarding children and families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, analyzing information to determine risk levels and appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to gather and share information, ensuring a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Make informed decisions regarding immediate protection and intervention, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children.
  • Provide expert advice on complex cases, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and case progress, in compliance with data protection policies.

Requirements:

  • Recognized social work qualification and registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with colleagues, agencies, and families.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing workload to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current research and best practices.

Estimated Salary:** £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
