Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with on-site Psychologists, Therapists, and Behaviour Specialists to ensure the highest quality of care for students.
  • Provide role-model guidance, support, and reassurance to students as their first line of support.
  • Attend team meetings with specialized staff to discuss student progress and develop strategies for support.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques to help students manage their emotions and behaviors.
  • Identify triggers and coping mechanisms to support students in developing self-regulation skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and strategies for supporting mental health.
