Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Capital Projects

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Carrington Blake Recruitment. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for working on the programme of capital works projects, including education, housing, and corporate buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrutinise the financial and contractual aspects of allocated projects from inception to completion
  • Lead on the financial aspects of projects, cost control, estimating, contracts, and contract administration
  • Adhere to agreed project timescales and be self-sufficient
  • Demonstrate experience of progressing multiple programmes/projects through to completion

Requirements:

  • Strong Quantity Surveying background (MRICS, MCIOB desirable)
  • Experience in local authority or contracting environment (advantageous)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
