About OXBO

OXBO is partnering with a leading UK-based solar and energy storage company to expand their in-house planning team in the UK. This strategic move aims to accelerate the development of their solar and energy storage projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the UK development team in all current and future planning processes, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to identify suitable development opportunities aligned with connection possibilities.
  • Manage planning consultants and other contractors appointed by the company to facilitate the planning process.
  • Review team-originated land opportunities from a planning perspective, working in conjunction with the team to assess long-term requirements for construction, operation, and asset management.
  • Effectively manage key stakeholders throughout the planning process and into the site construction and operational phases.
  • Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to stay updated on the latest developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of the UK planning system, including the TCPA application process.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in utility-scale solar and/or energy storage.
  • Prior experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Chartered status and Full Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or other relevant professional body (or working towards membership).
  • Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills.
