About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Funding Circle. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in shaping and scaling our FlexiPay product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own financial models to understand the economics of FlexiPay and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and monitor key metrics driving the success of FlexiPay.
  • Build and own reporting to track product performance and inform business decisions.
  • Design and implement a multi-channel strategy to maximize growth of FlexiPay alongside Funding Circle's product suite.
  • Work with Product teams to understand customer behavior and test new features to drive rapid product iterations.
  • Segment our customer base to enable in-life engagement strategies and pricing updates.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in analytics with financial services, preferably on credit card or revolving lending products.
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative or finance-related field required.
  • Coding background with SQL and Python, along with experience using AWS platform.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, including marketing and technology.
  • Self-motivated and willing to get involved across a range of areas to drive product success.
  • Proven problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods.
  • Excellent ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, simple, and actionable stories.
