We are partnering with a well-respected secondary school in Surrey to identify an exceptional Drama Teacher to join their faculty. This full-time permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and cultivate the creative talents of young learners.

Position Summary

As a Drama Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' passion for the performing arts. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive drama instruction across Key Stages 3 and 4, empowering students to develop their confidence, communication skills, and artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver inspiring drama lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational philosophy.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and take risks.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
  • Direct and produce school productions, showcasing students' talents and fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Arts department and across the wider school community to enhance the performing arts program.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
  • A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to inspiring students to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
