Behaviour Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at an alternative provision school, supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students to support their individual needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies tailored to each student's situation
  • Help students develop coping mechanisms, social skills, and strategies for managing their emotions and behaviour
  • Assist in reintegrating students into mainstream education or preparing them for future learning opportunities
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges (experience in an alternative provision or PRU setting is advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to handling challenging situations
  • A passion for working with children and young people, helping them reach their full potential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff
