About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Educational Leader to join our team as Head of School at our new Options Autism school in Durham. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational vision and strategy for our school, ensuring that our pupils receive the highest quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive educational strategy that aligns with the overall mission and goals of Outcomes First Group.
  • Lead and manage a team of educators to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of our pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make data-driven decisions to drive improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and implement innovative approaches to enhance pupil outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least three years' experience as a senior leader in a special educational needs school.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of improving pupil outcomes and achieving excellent inspection ratings.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
