Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our nursery team at a welcoming primary school in Thornton Heath. As a key member of the EYFS team, you will provide high-quality support to children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum, contributing to lesson planning and delivering activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, supporting children's emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Work alongside the SEN and inclusion team to ensure that individual needs are met, adapting resources and strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification, with relevant experience in early years settings.
  • Proven experience in EYFS, particularly within a nursery or reception class.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and a genuine passion for early years education.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.
