We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team at Davis Mills, a leading building main contractor in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in prime residential fit out and a proven track record of delivering high-end projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of designers and manage the design process from concept to completion.
- Work closely with the Project Director to develop and implement a design management strategy that meets the client's needs and expectations.
- Assess and mitigate design risks to ensure the project stays on track.
- Produce and manage design programmes and information required schedules.
- Manage the design process on site, ensuring that all design deliverables are reviewed and approved.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and technology.
- Experience in the prime residential fit out sector.
- Good knowledge of planning techniques, procurement, and value creation.
- Good knowledge of contracts and contract documentation.
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environment legislation and issues.
- Knowledge of life cycle costs and risk management skills.
- A construction-related qualification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the prime residential fit out sector and a proven track record of delivering high-end projects. They will be a strong leader and communicator, with excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
