**About the Role:**

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse with leadership experience to join our team as a deputy ward manager. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for assisting the manager in providing clinical leadership and being a role model for the inpatient team. You will also deputise for the manager in their absence and provide evidence-based advice, support, and care for patients with mental health needs and their carers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team.
  • Work closely with the manager to develop and implement clinical strategies and policies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of clinical standards and protocols.
  • Provide supervision and appraisal for nursing staff.
  • Contribute to rotas and ensure effective staff deployment.

**Essential Requirements:**

  • Registered with the NMC with a valid PIN.
  • Previous experience of directly managing others in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in acute or forensic settings.

**Salary and Benefits:** The salary for this role is approximately £43,141 - £60,984 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
