About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at RAF Lakenheath. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting our fuel distribution and storage systems, ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fuel systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical components, including motors, switches, and control valves.
  • Adhere to stringent safety regulations and procedures.
  • Calibrate fuel dispensing systems, tank, and pressure gauges.
  • Measure, cut, thread, join, and fit piping and tubing.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge in fuel systems, electrical components, and safety regulations.
  • Technical skills in calibration and pipework techniques.
  • Qualifications such as NVQ/City and Guilds Level 2 in Welding and Mechanical Engineering, or HND/HNC/BTEC.
  • A valid UK driver's Category B driving licence.
