Nursery Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a friendly and community-based term time only nursery in the Pulborough area of Sussex. Our nursery is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development, fostering a love for learning in young students.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, sharing updates with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to their child's education.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported in their social and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in a day care nursery, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Curriculum.
  • A full and relevant childcare qualification at a minimum of Level 3, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a friendly team, supporting the delivery of high-quality childcare services.
