About the Company

Our client is a well-established company in the FMCG industry, recognized for their commitment to quality and innovation. They have built a strong reputation in the market and are looking for a talented Engineering Manager to join their team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Engineering and will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring the engineering team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing strategic plans to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of machinery and equipment
  • Coordinating with other departments for smooth operations
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in the department
  • Managing labour resources (budgets, absences, shift planning etc)
  • Managing stock control
  • Ensuring site remains audit ready within Engineering department

Requirements

The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of skills and experience, including:

  • Competence across Electrical and Maintenance Engineering with relevant qualifications
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team
  • Experience working within FMCG manufacturing facility
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Experience working to BRC audit standards
  • Assertiveness and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 annually, a total of 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays, and a company pension scheme with a 5% contribution. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career in a leading company within the FMCG industry.
