Senior Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Advanced Technician to join our Art and Design Technology teams at Spen Valley High School.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Heads of Department and Teaching staff in planning and preparing materials and equipment for lessons.
• Work independently to complete tasks and prioritize the requirements of the department.
• Assist students in the classroom, supporting their development of skills and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Ensure routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery are undertaken.
• Work alongside students, supporting their development and building relationships.

Requirements

• Literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English).
• Up-to-date workshop accreditation.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and willingness to learn.
