Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Domestic Services Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties will include cleaning bathrooms, toilets, ward areas, emptying bins, replenishing soap dispensers, hand towels, and sanitizers. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and adhering to National Standards of Cleanliness. Additionally, you will establish and maintain good working relationships with Supervisors, Ward Teams, Departmental staff, patients, and visitors.

About Us

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Our Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. We employ over 6258 staff, including temporary bank staff, and provide acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who possess numeracy and literacy skills, a basic standard of education, and a commitment to in-house induction and training on cleaning procedures. Desirable qualifications include training to a national recognized level in 'Cleaning and Support Services' skills and experience working in a healthcare environment. You will also be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check and provide a Certificate of Sponsorship if applicable.
