Senior Counsel, Regulatory Law Expert

For this challenging role at Amazon, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Counsel with a strong background in Regulatory Law. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of legal experience, with a focus on Data and Privacy matters or related regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on global privacy laws, including European and U.S. law, to support the development of cloud computing services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of our cloud computing services.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in Data and Privacy law, and apply this knowledge to inform our business decisions.
- Work closely with our legal team to provide guidance on complex legal issues and ensure that our cloud computing services are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Significant post-qualification legal experience gathered in-house or in private practice.
- Exceptional expertise and experience in Data and Privacy matters or related regulatory matters.
- Experience with global privacy laws, including European and U.S. law.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous situations.
