Electromechanical Workshop Engineer Specialist

About the Role
As an Electromechanical Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and customizing food manufacturing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement set checklists to prepare machines before sale, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Perform routine service and maintenance on industrial machines, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Design and build control panels from scratch, utilizing electrical and mechanical principles.
- Detect and troubleshoot electrical system faults, applying problem-solving skills and expertise.
- Develop small-scale electrical and pneumatic systems, incorporating automation and control technologies.
- Strip down existing machinery and perform repairs, using technical knowledge and manual dexterity.
- Program drives with pre-programmed manufacturer software and settings, ensuring seamless integration.
Requirements
We are looking for a skilled professional with:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in electro-mechanical engineering, preferably within a workshop environment.
- Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical safety protocols.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations and guidelines.
- A valid forklift license, with the ability to operate safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, or relevant drawing software.
- Hands-on approach with experience working with pneumatics, automation, and control systems.
- Knowledge of Rockwell, Alan Bradley, and Omron software, with the ability to apply it effectively.
What We Offer
- An estimated salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
