Experienced Phlebotomist (Part-time 20 h/w) - Plus 5% Fringe

The phlebotomy department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time experienced phlebotomist to support the daily provision of quality blood collection services. The successful candidate will work Monday to Fridays from 4:00pm, including weekends, to service outpatient clinics.

Main Duties

The post holder will be required to collect samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics. They will liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals, laboratory staff, patients, and their representatives, as well as commercial suppliers. The post holder will perform a range of venepuncture techniques in various clinical settings, working without direct supervision.

Additionally, they will be responsible for reception and telephone duties.
