Job Summary

The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a talented Clinical Pharmacist to join our Foundation to Advance Clinical Pharmacist Programme. This 18-month competency-based progression programme is designed to support pharmacists in transitioning from a post-registration foundation pharmacist to an advanced clinical pharmacist.

About the Role

As a Clinical Pharmacist on this programme, you will be responsible for delivering expert patient care, supporting lead pharmacists, and contributing to clinical governance and risk management. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience across our diverse range of clinical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert patient care and support lead pharmacists in the development, evaluation, and coordination of clinical pharmacy services.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, including clinical risk and audit.
  • Participate in education and training, including practice supervision of undergraduates, pre-registration pharmacists, and line management and educational supervision of band 6 pharmacists.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist with previous experience in the UK, a Master of Pharmacy degree, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should also have a willingness for continual professional development and evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles.
