We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Lift and move heavy machinery, utilizing specialized tools as required.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and efficient issue resolution.
- Document all work undertaken, including machine details, time, and mileage, as well as any accompanying documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the workshop.
- Operate a company vehicle, if provided, to perform duties as required.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our company's Health and Safety policy and adhere to all procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Proven knowledge of the construction industry and its equipment.
- Ability to diagnose complex hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure, meeting customer demands and expectations, including flexible hours and weekend coverage.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Good general health and fitness level.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Understanding of relevant business objectives and targets.
