Gibson Search is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for industrial materials handling equipment, ensuring compliance to ATEX, Ex and IEC Ex standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems using AutoCAD, defining enclosure layouts and population
  • Specify test requirements and produce product risk assessments and paperwork to support certification
  • Work with a highly skilled engineering team to develop innovative solutions for alternative components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into original machine electrical systems
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of electrical cabling for automotive, industrial or marine applications
  • Hands-on experience of electrical wiring and design of electrical systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to specify test requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and meet deadlines
