About the Role

As a Veterinary Nurse at Langford Vets, you will play a vital part in the smooth operation of our clinical activities within the Small Animal Practice.

You will assist veterinary surgeons with medical and surgical procedures, perform nurse clinics, promote client communication, and supervise BVSc and VNBA students on clinical rotations.

  • Assisting with medical and surgical procedures
  • Nursing duties such as monitoring anaesthesia, assisting with consultations, patient handling and restraint, taking blood samples, administering medication under supervision, running nurse clinics, and maintaining accurate patient records
Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to support our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out veterinary nursing duties
  • Supervising veterinary students during clinical rotations
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered veterinary nurse qualification
  • Positive work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and confidence in effective handling and restraint of animals
  • Able to carry out veterinary nursing duties and experience in supervising veterinary students
