Role Overview:
Clark Wood, a leading recruitment agency specializing in Accountancy Practice and Tax, is partnering with a reputable regional firm of accountants to strengthen their Corporate Tax team at Senior or Assistant Manager level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, handling all aspects of corporation tax compliance, including preparation of tax provisions, corporation tax returns, and computations.
- Assist in other compliance tasks, oversee and develop junior staff, and participate in advisory and planning work.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, supervise Tax Assistants, and provide guidance when needed.
- Prepare tax provisions for audit/accounts purposes, advise clients on corporation tax liabilities, and manage statutory deadlines.
- Handle correspondence with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of companies, supervise junior staff involved in corporation tax work, and perform ad hoc consultancy work as needed.
- Engage in advisory work, including international tax, property, R&D, transactional support, and due diligence assignments.
- Participate in internal technical updates to comply with CIOT CPD requirements and other relevant bodies.
- Manage various administrative duties, including billing and managing WIP.
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- CTA Qualified or Part Qualified
- Experience in a Tax-focused role, either solely Corporate or mixed Corporate and Personal
