About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Trading Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for partnering with brokers and customers to understand their needs and develop profitable business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers to identify business opportunities and grow the commercial book of business.
  • Analyse risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless underwriting processes and efficient business operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and Aviva's SME strategy to provide expert advice and guidance to customers.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to support the growth of the commercial book of business.

Requirements:

  • Previous property & liability underwriting experience is essential.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulations and legislation.
