Mountain Warehouse Ltd is seeking a Senior Garment Development Manager to lead our technical function. We require an experienced professional with the ability to develop teams and manage cross-department projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of 3 within the technical function.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies for multi-product womenswear clothing.
  • Manage cross-function technical projects to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Run fit meetings to drive consistency and improvement.
  • Drive innovation in product, performance, and sustainability through benchmarking and technical advances.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to advise on technical and sustainable suitability of fabric, construction, and fit.
  • Oversee the department testing and AQL programme.
  • Monitor returns data to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to influence quality and fit.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a senior technologist for a high street retail brand.
  • Experience in management and team development to a formal people framework.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of pattern-cutting, grading, garment construction, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with sustainable fabrications and certification programmes.
  • Experience working with offshore suppliers.
  • An organised and methodical approach with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
