About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' Ofsted-rated primary school in Barnet. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, promoting their educational and personal development, and fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence among students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
