Environmental Performance Improvement Manager

About the Role
Futures is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team in a leading, global, billion-pound food manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement environmental strategies, compliance processes, and procedures that drive sustainability and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site-wide environmental strategies, compliance processes, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impact.
- Lead key projects, including new plant installations, carbon reduction initiatives, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive key outputs and support certification to ISO 14001.
- Work with the Site SHE Manager to develop a positive environmental culture through education, training, and coaching to improve performance and reduce environmental risks.
- Provide insights to drive environmental performance improvement through data analysis and target setting.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement and deliver projects to achieve targets and improve risk rating and cost efficiency.
- Deliver environmental reporting information and provide insights and recommendations to inform management decisions and prioritize actions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an environmental-focused role, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with partnerships and collaborations.
- Experience giving presentations and facilitating workshops.
- Experience in report writing and data analysis.
- Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
