Core Subjects Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Core Subjects Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Core Subjects Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring in core subjects to students in a secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their academic goals, promoting a love of learning and a growth mindset.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, using data to inform instruction and drive student success.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in English, Maths, Science, or Education, with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching or tutoring in a secondary setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), with a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Knowledge of the relevant curriculum, with the ability to stay up-to-date with changes and developments.
