Job Description

As Data Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our work by maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of data systems, providing key insights and solutions to support decision-making across the organisation and federation.

You will work collaboratively with various teams to develop data management solutions, new use cases, forecast data volumes, and ensure cost-effective service maintenance. This role requires big-picture thinking and a strong understanding of data security to ensure compliance with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance our data pipelines and infrastructure
  • Ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of data systems
  • Provide key insights and solutions to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop data management solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have experience in a data engineering role, ideally with hands-on experience or the ability to upskill in cloud services like Azure and Databricks. You should also have excellent proven proficiency in some of Apache Spark, Fivetran, SQL, and/or Python and R, and/or PowerBI and other reporting tools.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
