About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our team at Graduate Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of our dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of dishes
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our menu and ingredients
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service
  • Participate in menu planning and development
  • Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene

Requirements

  • Basic understanding and willingness to learn classic cookery and seasonal British ingredients
  • Good, demonstratable knife skills
  • Thorough understanding of kitchen etiquette and practice
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Level 2 food safety
  • Unrelenting pursuit of quality within all aspects of the kitchen
