Job Title: IT Test Analyst

The IT Test Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT projects. This involves defining the test approach to guarantee comprehensive test coverage throughout the entire test lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and recommend the most suitable test approach and test phases for each project.
  2. Create detailed Test Plans and Test Specifications based on thorough analysis of project requirements and risks.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage product and project risks, providing clear traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
  4. Lead functional testing for key strategic IT projects and Business as Usual (BAU) activities, including operational and infrastructure changes.
  5. Effectively manage defects using the defect management tool.
  6. Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support to various business areas.
  7. Conduct Non-functional testing, including Performance Testing and benchmarking as required.
  8. Produce regular reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on test progress for key stakeholders.
  9. Pursue continuous improvement and enhance the profile of the Test Team within IT and the business.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
  2. Proven experience working in an IT Test Team.
  3. Thorough understanding of the Fundamental Test Process and testing methodologies, including V Model and agile.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration at all levels.
  5. Experience working on IT technical testing projects, preferably in infrastructure and networking.
  6. Strong knowledge of Wintel and Microsoft stacks, including Windows 7/Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, Windows Registry, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
  7. Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
  9. Customer-focused with a passion for delivering customer satisfaction and value to the business.
  10. Experience with Test Tools, including Testing Management and Defect Management tools. Automation experience is desirable but not essential.
