Entertainment Production Manager

Thorpe Park is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Entertainments Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Entertainments team, you will be responsible for managing a team of seasonal technicians, ensuring all team members are looked after, and carrying out team scheduling and rotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of seasonal technicians with varied skills
- Ensure all team members are looked after
- Carry out team scheduling creating rotas
- Assist the Production manager in planning all aspects of seasonal events
- Drive the team to deliver projects to a deadline
- Play a key role in the delivery of all our seasonal events including FRIGHT NIGHTS
- Operate our plethora of seasonal shows
- Have a hands-on role in the installation of Lighting, Sound, Scenic and Special effects for all of our events
- Work independently through provided task lists
- Install and troubleshoot faults or errors to the highest standard for all attractions.
- Work in line with our health and safety regulations
- Uphold show systems and equipment to ensure the delivery of high-quality attractions, having a real focus on attention to detail.
- Be involved in the delivery of any responses to briefs requested by the project or technical management team.
- Supervise the daily start-up of all technical systems and safety checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Ensure all attractions and shows are meeting all health & safety standards by utilising daily checklists and regular inspections.
- Work effectively as part of a team when building constructing or undertaking repairs within the attractions, but equally be able to work alone when required.
- Take a pro-active maintenance approach to all areas of equipment and reacting quickly when in operation.
- Offer specialist advice, knowledge and assistance with all aspects of maze construction, maintenance and operation in your field of lighting/sound/AV/scenic.
- Work closely with our actors and hosts to ensure that shutdowns are rectified swiftly and safely.
- Deliver safe working environments for both actors and guests, always pushing standards where possible.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working professionally within the production industry
- Experience delivering projects
- Experience managing large teams
- Experience rigging lighting, programming and operating.
- Experience rigging audio, setting up a show file, setting up mics for a band,
- Experience setting up and using special effects such as smoke machines and pyrotechnics
- Experience and knowledge of one or more of the following systems – Qsys, Yamaha Digital Desk, Avolites Quartz.
- Working knowledge of BS7909 and BS7671 and entertainment industry electrical systems.
- Working knowledge and experience in LOLER, PUWER, EAWR, HASAWA and other H&S legislation.
- Ability to assist in the design and programming, carry out troubleshooting of highly specified safety legislation with the support of the technical management team.
