Experiential Learning Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Experiential Learning Coordinator to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and delivering outdoor education programs that support students with special educational needs (SEN).
You will be responsible for planning and leading nature-based activities, sensory experiences, and social skills development initiatives that promote engagement, skill-building, and personal growth among students.
In close collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, you will tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each student, incorporating strategies that foster emotional regulation and academic achievement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a curriculum focused on experiential learning, incorporating nature-based, practical, and sensory activities that support social skills, emotional regulation, and academic goals.
- Tailor activities to suit the needs of each student, incorporating strategies that promote engagement, skill-building, and personal growth.
- Work closely with classroom teachers, SEN specialists, and therapists to align LOTC activities with classroom learning objectives and therapeutic goals.
- Evaluate and refine programs to ensure a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Relevant outdoor education qualifications, such as Forest School Level 3 or Outdoor NGB awards.
- Experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Minibus driving certificate would be advantageous.
Working Hours:
8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, term-time only.
Estimated Salary Range: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
